Erase Stress From Your Back To School Routine!
Class is about to be back in session, and for many that can be a very stressful situation. As we approach the return to the classroom, parents and students may face anxiety. Back-to-school is stressful for families even in the best of times; now lay on the financial burden many face in wake of a potential recession, and the burnout from having the kids home all summer. It’s almost like many parents can’t catch a break.
While you think most would look forward to sending their kids off to school, the process is just another thing added to their never-ending to-do list. Enrolling in classes, school shopping, tuition fees, extra curricular activities … and that is just the half of it.
So how do you suppress your anxiety as a parent?
The best thing you can do is openly communicate. Share with your family, and your child your process on getting them prepped and ready for the beginning of the school year, then delegate some of the tasks that you have to fulfill with your village. If you have no support, start early. Don’t let the deadlines sneak up on you. Little by little finish off pending tasks needed for your child to go back to school.
Most importantly, take a little time for yourself. The extra stress and anxiety will surely show itself in your appearance. Making sure you prioritize your own wellbeing by carving out a little extra time before you start doing all of the tasks for your children.
Wake up an hour earlier, find some alone time to do self-care like using our 3-Step Awakening System to handle the general basics of your skincare need.
You may not have the time to do all of your skincare routine, but this 3-step system ensures that you handle the most important facts: CLEANSE, TONE, MOISTURIZE.
Then, focus on continuing to take a little bit of ‘me-time’ during the day. We like to call these moments: pockets of peace, where you cut off the world and focus on your inner peace, your feelings, and enjoying the moment.
Your moment of peace could look like you enjoying the YELLE Self-care Playlist that we recently added to the site.
