Read below to find out more.
Toner
Toners are used after cleansing, it’s that simple and uncomplicated. And that really is why we LOVE toner so much in our office. They prep the skin for the next steps in your skincare routine, remove leftover residue that persists after cleansing, and restore the skins pH. The YELLE Awakening Toner uses calming aloe, rose hip oil, and hyaluronic acid to alleviate stressed skin and restore its tone and elasticity. It’s very soothing, good for all skin types, used morning and night and good for individuals that crave a full routine.
Cleansing Water & Micellar Water
Cleansing water and micellar water are often grouped together on shelves, but they are NOT the same. Cleansing waters are purified h20 with cleansing properties. They are formulated with a variety of soothing ingredients like cucumber or chamomile and provide the multi-tasking benefits of a cleanser and toner in one. Micellar waters are formulated with purified water and gentle oils. They have an oilier concentration than cleansing waters do. When micellar water is applied to the skin it immediately attracts and dissolves makeup, and other excess dirt and debris on the skins surface. Cleansing water and micellar water are both applied like toner. Apply them on a cotton ball and swipe or press into the skin. Neither of them requires rinsing. Our YELLE Skincare team likes cleansing water and micellar water as part of a double cleansing routine. Use as a make-up remover before beginning your YELLE skincare routine or after cleansing with our Awakening Milk & Honey Cleanser.
Essences
The popular K-beauty wave introduced essences into our beauty routines. What you need to know about essences is that they are not cleansers, they are not formulated to remove dirt and surface oil so don’t saving money and using an essence alone as a cleanser. And they are not a toner. So, what the heck are they? Essences combine hydrating ingredients and antioxidants keyword antioxidants to
refresh and feed the skin. They are like a topical multivitamin for the skin. After cleansing and toning with your YELLE skincare routine apply an essence onto a cotton pad or your hands and apply to your face and neck. Now here’s the K-beauty twist, use the palms of your hands and press into the skin. The verdict is still out with our team if this really does anything, but it does feel nice. Allow the essence to absorb-then follow with Awakening Peptide Boosting Serum or the appropriate YELLE beauty serum for your skin type and concern. I know you’re thinking “why do I still need a serum”? The answer is because in short essences are not as concentrated as serums which means you need both to get the job done. If your wallet is in a pinch though or you are just not as product obsessed as our skincare team choose a serum over an essence for best results.
Our YELLE skincare team loves keeping you informed about skin. We also have formulated an entire collection of products to get you started on your skincare journey. Shop the entire collection of our YELLE beauty line and say YES to healthy skin.
