7 Day Skin Reset Challenge
The holidays are officially over. Perhaps, you drank like you were merry and indulged until you popped, but now it’s time to recharge and reset your skin from all that merriment. Start 2019 off with a little refueling and skin fitness with our 7-day skin reset challenge. Believe it or not summer’s right around the corner, let the countdown begin to beautiful skin.
Challenge Days 1 -7
Go Make- Up Free
Give your skin a break from make up over the next few days and go au naturel. Make up can exacerbate certain skin conditions like eczema, contact dermatitis, and rosacea. Fragrance, preservative and other common allergens found in make-up can also aggravate certain skin types and cause adverse reactions including itching and acne cosmetica a form of acne triggered by the use of cosmetics. Even if you are not experiencing any issues with your skin from makeup it’s a good idea to put it down every once in a while. Your skin can benefit from the breather as you rejuvenate the outermost layer of the skin over the next few days.
Day 2
Commit to A Full Skin Care Routine
Engage in a complete skin care routine including a cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream, moisturizer, and SPF. Give your skin a comprehensive treatment on a daily basis. While cleanser, toner, and moisturizer provide a solid foundation for a skin care routine, serums are made up of smaller molecules and deliver a high concentration of active ingredients to target a variety of skin care concerns and conditions. They are an important part of your skincare routine and will help improve the overall appearance of the skin. If you are just getting started with serums, try the YELLE Awakening Peptide Boosting Serum with Vitamin C to restore elasticity and firmness to the skin.
Day 3
Drink Up Some Antioxidants
Cheers to fruity antioxidants! Antioxidants help fight free radicals and provide the skin with vital nutrients it needs to stay healthy. Try a smoothie with some of your favorite antioxidants to promote a healthy radiant glow. Some of our favorite antioxidants are blueberries, oranges, pomegranates, watermelon, kale, kiwi, strawberries, papaya, and guava.
Day 4
Exercise
Exercise has numerous benefits for the skin and overall wellbeing. Exercise nourishes the skin and can slow down aging. Get moving today but don’t forget to pack your YELLE Milk & Honey Cleanser in your gym bag to cleanse your skin after your workout.
Day 5
Try a Facial with Microcurrent
Try a facial that includes microcurrent. Microcurrent is like Pilates for the skin, it lifts, tones and provides gentle facial stimulation that exercises the facial muscles. It feels like a gentle massage but stimulates collagen and elastin production especially when the skin is treated consistently and regularly over time.
Day 6
Lay off the salt and sugar
Excess sodium leads to dehydration, puffy eyes, premature aging, and oily skin. Too much sugar is equally problematic. Excessive sugar can weaken the skin by causing inflammation which slows down collagen and elastin production. Limit your salt and sugar on this day and enjoy more fiber rich foods. Some of our favorite fiber rich foods are pears, split peas, artichokes, lentils, chia seeds, black berries, chick pea, brussel sprouts and sweet potato.
Day 7
Rest & Relaxation
Take time and rest today. Proper rest can decrease inflammation, slow down aging by improving cell turnover and strengthen your immune system. Get consistent with how much sleep you get at night and try to set up a bed time routine that allows your body and mind to relax as you prepare for sleep.
Level up your skin routine in 2019 by taking the Skin Reset Challenge. Get started by having your customized YELLE skin care regimen on hand to participate. Take the challenge and get on the path to beautiful skin.
