Q. I have very sensitive skin with dark spots, I would like more shine to my skin. What bundle would you recommend?
Sensitive skin refers to a range of conditions that affect the stratum corneum i.e the outermost layer of the skin. Signs of sensitive skin may include redness, flaking, scaling, swelling and roughness. Adverse reactions to certain ingredients are also a symptom. If you suspect you have sensitive skin one of our first recommendations is to engage in professional patch and allergy testing to gain a more thorough understanding into your condition. Patch testing as well as allergy testing will provide exact information regarding substances that specifically disturb your skin. When you are aware of this information you can then avoid products that contain ingredients that you are allergic to. While observations are beneficial in identifying sensitive skin comprehensive screenings will prove to be more valuable to you in the long run. If you have had patch and allergy testing simply review the ingredient deck on the back panel of our products to ensure compatibility. If none of your allergens are present, then you have an increased likelihood of using our products without incident. Our entire YELLE collection has been formulated to promote a healthy radiant complexion. For dark spots we recommend the Awakening Brightening System.
Q. Does this work for blackheads?
Blackheads are pores that are blocked with oil, dead skin cells and bacteria. Engaging in healthy skin practices will minimize the occurrence of black heads. Cleansing daily with the Awakening Milk and Honey Cleanser is the first line of defense. If you already have blackheads, we recommend letting the Milk and Honey Cleanser rest on the skin for 3-5 minutes to help soften the sebum around the pore to allow it to ease its way out. For more dominant blackheads we recommend seeing a professional esthetician or dermatologist for removal then following up with our brightening kit or brightening serum with AHA’s which provides wonderful controlled exfoliation.
Q. Are your products eczema friendly?
According to the National Eczema Association 30 million Americans have eczema. It is a skin disorder diagnosed by a doctor and there are several different types. While eczema is common and manageable treatments vary and range from over the counter remedies to prescription medications. The severity of your eczema will determine if YELLE is the right solution for you. If you have eczema speak with your doctor regarding your intention to use YELLE skincare. Our products do contain many beneficial ingredients that calm and moisturize the skin however YELLE may interact differently with your skin if you are taking medications to address eczema or any other skin condition or disorder. While we do have some users with eczema that are comfortably using our products those individuals have spoken with their dermatologist, shared our line as part of their skin regimen, and gotten approval from their doctors for usage. We recommend individuals with any skin disorder including eczema to do the same.
Q. Do you have skincare for men to?
We are so proud that we have curated a line the whole family can use. Our essential system is suitable for the entire family including men. There are some fundamental differences with men’s and women’s skin however, men’s skin is thicker due to androgens, their texture is tougher, their sebaceous glands tend to be more active which means oilier skin for most. With that in mind men can also benefit from one of our tailored serums when treating their skin. The brightening, hydrating and peptide serum are all light in texture and provide effective care for men. We are also currently researching and developing better ways to enhance our essential collection to address more targeted concerns of our male users.
Q.) What should I start with for my active acne?
Acne comes in various grades. Grades 1 and 2 will respond well to our brightening system or essential system. However we recommend those with Grades 3-4 be seen by a medical professional and use our essential system potentially to compliment your treatment. “Active” acne can mean numerous things and is subject to interpretation. Is the acne you are experiencing caused by your upcoming menstrual cycle? Is it hormonal? Is it a chronic condition? The point is depending on the severity of your acne you may need professional treatment and support for the proper diagnosis. Our system will help with acne but does not address hormones therefore our best advice is to keep your skin clean with our milk and honey cleanser along with our toner and head to the doctor for further evaluation.
Q.) My 16-year-old has acne, is this good for acne?
Teenage acne is usually related to hormones. Yes, our line is super beneficial to teens because unfortunately many teens are not engaging in a thorough regimen to address the needs of their skin. Best advice is to start with the essential system and encourage your child to be compliant with their routine. Consistency is everything. If their acne begins to progress in severity you may want to see your healthcare provider for further insights.
Q.) What do you use for your under eyes?
Our YELLE team believes in eye cream. Our ADREAM eye cream with peptides is the perfect start for taking care of your eyes. If you have perioribital hyperpigmentation i.e. dark circles, try to determine its cause. Allergies, lack of sleep, age and heredity are all factors that affect the appearance of the eyes. In addition to our eye cream, fillers, an allergy tablet and more sleep might be needed to aid in your treatment of the undereye area.
